Meeting on December 1, 2009

On 1 December was held the meeting of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy in Poznań
at the Center for Education and Work OHP, which attended 12 people.

The following issues were discussed:

The matter of contributions paid into the account National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy
Election of two individuals who have declared their willingness to participate in development of the projects under PO KL.
Presentation of a research tool in vocational guidance: Questionnaire of Professional Interests.
In-depth discussions concerning tests in vocational guidance.

Meeting of the members of the Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy

On 3 September was held the meeting of members / female members of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy and President of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy, during which:

Established the possibility of implementation (management, development, organization) ESF projects on the basis of projects already implemented by the other branches of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy, especially by Forum in Białystok.
Established the need for the initial identification of the expectations and needs of members and female members in their professional development in the area of vocational guidance. In this, the need to suggest the candidates for Programme and Scientific Council of the Association.

Meeting of the Management Board of the Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy

On 14 September 2009 was held the meeting of the Management Board of the Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy. This meeting was the continuation of meeting of members of the Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.

Meeting of the Management Board concerned following issues:

At the meeting read the expectations of counsellors in the field of professional development provided in the survey: self-study, the tool for counsellors (other than Individual Action Plan), processes of consulting and working standards of professional counsellors, the gender perspective in the vocational guidance, tools / diagnostic tests used by the companies in businesses and work with difficult client. Most of the expectations, concern the professional development of counsellors and development of standards. As an important indication was found preparation to work in culturally diversed environments.

Proposed following topics of projects for implementation in the near and long term: the recognition of professional qualifications - VPL (Value Prior Learning) (a similar project of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy has been supported in Białystok), modification of the projects of other branches of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy, indicated an interest in transnational partnerships within National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy and discussed experiences to the transposition to Wielkopolskie, identified the necessary concentration (provided that there will be such possibilities) on the projects to develop tools for guidance counsellors. These expectations will be communicated to the Management Board of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.
Proposed pre-candidates for the Programme and Scientific Council of the Association: Professor Augustyn Bańka (a member of the Central Board and Management Board of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy), Professor Maria Strykowska, Professor Elżbieta Hornowska (University of Adam Mickiewicz), Mrs. Dorota Pisula (University of Adam Mickiewicz), Mr. Tadeusz Wiszowaty - Commander of the OHP, representatives of the Provincial Labour Offices and the Municipal Council (for example Councilor Tomczak) and the Marshal's Office - Mrs. Krystyna Poślednia, Marshal Wojciech Jankowiak UMWW. Contemplated the possibilities of cooperation with the Provincial Labour Office and representatives of local governments in Wielkopolska. Another propositions and candidates are expected from the members from other centers of Wielkopolska. Determining the composition of the Council should take place in late autumn.
It is recommended to obtain opinion and favor of the proposed candidates.
The Management Board calls for sending as soon as possible candidates for the Council on e-mail address: wielkopolskie@doradztwokariery.pl. We also require the declaration who will conduct interviews with those proposed candidates.
The Management Board proposed the following dates for the next meetings of the Association:

Main theme: The diagnostic tools in practice of the counsellors, the short characteristics, presentations of advantages and limitations: MBTI, KZZ Thomas INTL.
Other issues: organizational matters, issues relating to the creation of the Programme and Scientific Council. Conclusions and suggestions of members.

Main Theme: The current situation on the labour market. Information on projects realized in Wielkopolska - trends.
Conclusions and proposals of members concerning action plans and involvement of the Association in 2010.

Summary.

Board appeals to all members that they inform each other about interesting projects and use our mailing list for giving information and invitations concerning organized ventures.

Information on the location of the next meeting will be forwarded to all members by an e-mail.

The appointment of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy

On 16 July 2009 was held an election to the Board of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.

The election was held at Wyższa Szkoła Umiejętności Społecznych in Poznań, Głogowska Street 26. The election was attended by the President Czesław Noworol, Ph.D., Włodzimierz Trzeciak, MA Vice President of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.

As a result of the voting was appointed the Management Board o Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy, composed of:

Establishing the Forum

Resolution of the Management Board of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy concerning appointment of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.

The Management Board of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy at the meeting in Nałęczów on 15- 16 April 2008 has established the Regional Forums for Lifelong Guidance Policy in Poland.

The Resolution of the Management Board of the appointment of Wielkopolskie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy gives the green light to the expected in the region efforts to build a system of vocational guidance in Poland, the integration of guidance counsellors from various backgrounds including Psychological and Pedagogical Clinics, School Career Centres, District Employment Offices, Offices of Academic Career, Information and Professional Career Planning Centres, as well as the placement officers. In addition it enables to achieve important goals such as improving the quality of vocational and placement services, dissemination of good practices, promoting the idea of entrepreneurship, especially among youth, promoting labour market policies and the development of non-public employment services.

The Management Board invites to cooperation the labour market organizations, especially employers, entrepreneurs, politicians, representatives of local government and all people working in the Wielkopolskie who wish to contribute to the development of the region and throughout the whole country in order to build the prosperity of all citizens.
