Conference of Łódzkie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy

On 16.12.2009 in the Regional Center for Teachers Development in Łódz was held a conference on "Integration of efforts to create a system of vocational guidance and career planning."


Conference programme:

  • The standpoint of the Convent of Marshals of Republic of Poland on the integrated vocational guidance - Grażyna Tadeusiewicz, Ph.D. - WODN Director in Łódz.
  • Presentation of achievements of regional conferences in the years 2007,2008,2009 on Education for the labour market - Grażyna Tadeusiewicz, Ph.D.
  • Conclusions from the regional conference held in 2009 in Smardzewice "An integrated system of vocational guidance as a chance for a well functioning labour market" - Iwona Lanycia - WODN Consultant.
  • New trends in vocational guidance - Włodzimierz Trzeciak MA, Vice President of the Management Board of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy
  •   Activities of National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy at European and national level - Czesław Noworol, Ph.D. - President of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy Association.

The conference was attended by Mrs. Wiesława Zewald - Chief Education Officer in Łódz,
the initiator of actions which integrate the vocational guidance institutions in Łódzkie region and Mrs. Dorothy Wodincka,
director of the Department of Culture and Education of the Office of the Marshal of Łódzkie Voivodeship.

 

The appointment of Łódzkie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy

On 16 December 2009 at the headquarters of the Regional Center for Teachers Development in Łódz was held an election to the Board of Łódzkie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.The election was attended by President Czesław Noworol Ph.D., Włodzimierz Trzeciak, MA Vice President and 81 members of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy of this voivodeship.

As a result of the voting was appointed the Management Board of Łódzkie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy, composed of:

  • Violetta Promny - Secretary
  • Iwona Lanycia - Treasurer
  • Tadeusz Zaczek, Ph.D., Marian Wojtowicz, Ph.D. - Members of the Board

Establishing the Forum

Resolution of the Management Board of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy concerning appointment of Łódzkie Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy.

The Management Board of the National Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy at the meeting in Nałęczów on 15- 16 April 2008 has established the Regional Forums for Lifelong Guidance Policy in Poland.

The Resolution of the Management Board of the appointment of Łódzkir Forum for Lifelong Guidance Policy gives the green light to the expected in the region efforts to build a system of vocational guidance in Poland, the integration of guidance counsellors from various backgrounds including Psychological and Pedagogical Clinics, School Career Centres, District Employment Offices, Offices of Academic Career, Information and Professional Career Planning Centres, as well as the placement officers. In addition it enables to achieve important goals such as improving the quality of vocational and placement services, dissemination of good practices, promoting the idea of entrepreneurship, especially among youth, promoting labour market policies and the development of non-public employment services.

The Management Board invites to cooperation the labour market organizations, especially employers, entrepreneurs, politicians, representatives of local government and all people working in the Łódzkie who wish to contribute to the development of the region and throughout the whole country in order to build the prosperity of all citizens.
